Interesting political news ...

While eating dinner at my desk tonight I had a bit of time to read up on recent political happenings, and found a number of interesting articles. Here they are:

• You Call That a Major Policy Address? - An article in Slate discussing a Bush speech that was billed as a major policy address (but wasn't), as well as summarizing other recent events related to Iraq. (via BoingBoing)
  
  
• Lie patrol - a post by Kevin Drum looking at Cheney's "distortions" during the VP debate. (via Pharyngula)
  
  
• "Cheney & Edwards Mangle Facts" - an article on the now very well known factcheck.org discussing the VP debate. They've got a number of good articles, including, "Bush Mischaracterizes Kerry's Health Plan" and "Bush Ad Twists Kerry's Words on Iraq"; don't forget that they also wrote about Bush's Yakuza ad (which I wrote about here).
