I wanted to send out some congratulations to a friend who just ran his very first marathon today in San Diego. Considering that I could probably run, oh, maybe 1/100th of a marathon before needing a breather, I'm quite impressed!
[Update 6/8/04: I just learned that his time was 4 hours and 40 minutes.]
