- but she's a girl ... describes Oatcakes, a tasty-sounding British treat that I'd never heard of before. She links to a recipe for them ... I'll have to give them a try.
- Soft Pretzel Recipe - never made it, but it sounds good.
- Cinnabon Cinnamon Bun unofficial recipe - again, never made it, but it sounds good
- My SO found this post by Cleolinda on a board with a Harry Potter thread: Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban in Fifteen Minutes. It's a hilarious rendition of the movie.
- From BoingBoing comes a link to 38 dishonest tricks people use during arguing, and the appropriate responses to them.
- US Interrogation Methods - from The Smoking Gun, details what was officially allowed for detainees.
- Skeptic's tests supports homeopathy - an article in The Independent discussing a study published in the journal Inflammation Research (with no citation, grumble) that purports to show "biological activity" of one specific homeopathic dilution (apparently a dilution of histamine that was examined by testing it on basophils). I haven't found the journal article yet, but would like to read it since I'm rather skeptical.
