Serving suggestion: mashed potatoes with bacon and cheese

This past Friday my SO and I decided to try making mashed potatoes with bacon and cheese. Without posting our creation as a full recipe (most people know how to make mashed potatoes, right?), here's the basics: we added one pound of bacon (fried until crisp) and half a pound of grated medium cheddar cheese to about five pounds of mashed potatoes (made with the skins still on the potatoes), and then sprinkled extra grated cheddar cheese on top when we served it.

The potatoes were absolutely delicious, even if they were horribly unhealthy. So, if bacon and cheese in your mashed potatoes sounds good to you, give it a try.
